DeVry Greenhouses is a 4th generation family operation that was originally founded in the Netherlands in the 1930’s. In the late 1980’s, they transitioned to Chilliwack, BC. This proved to be an optimum location for both greenhouses and forage production based on the long hours of sun, dry climate, and irrigation in the area. Slowly deVry began to expand their land base and added additional crops to the rotation. Crops included: Wheat, barley, canola, corn, seed alfalfa, timothy, fescue/orchard grass and alfalfa. In 2017 deVry decided to move the majority of their land base into forages and also began to direct market, and thus deVry Forages was developed. In order to maximize the quality of the the alfalfa hay that we produced, we purchased a Stahliwest Steamer Dewpoint 6210 in order to maintain consistent leaf retention throughout a field.
deVry Forages has the unique position in the industry to use our land base to ensure a solid consistent base of top quality forages. In addition to that base, we are able to broker additional quantity in order to fill specific needs. We buy and sell across most Canadian provinces as well as several US states.
We sell a complete line of forages including: Grass, Alfalfa, Mixed grass/alfalfa, Straw, Greenfeed. We are always trying to produce a top quality product coupled with excellent customer service at a competitive price.
